The Department works with the Development and Planning of Urban and rural areas in Sweden and internationally.

The Unit works with the planning and design of current and future landscapes in urban and rural areas. The particular research theme Sustainable Community Development is investigating the local community development in Sweden, The Baltic sea region, in other European cities or Rural areas but also perform comparative studies of local area planning in other continents.

Assistant Supervisor in the master course Interdisciplinary Practice given at SLU from 23 of february - 8 June

The Assistant Supervisor will assist the Leading Course team in supervising international teams investigating urban and rural development in Asian cities.

The applicant will also be working with course administration, why there is also a merit if the applicant has got experience from going through the full 2 master program in sustainable development in Uppsala.

The Assistant should hold a master degree in Sustainable Development and should also have direct knowledge and experience of the course Finished and passed course: "Interdisciplinary Methods" within the 2-year master program Sustainable Development. The assistant should also be particularly knowledgeable about Chinese Eco-city planning. A special merit is if the applicant has specific knowledge about Swedish-Chinese co-operation on Ecocity development supported by Swedish Consultants companies. Also a special merit is if the applicant has a basic education in engineering.
