Software Project Manager, R&D, Neuro&Stereotactic Systems

The Neuroscience PMO now has an open position for a software project manager.

As a Project Manager at Elekta Neuroscience you will work in an innovative environment in highly motivated project teams, developing cutting edge solutions for minimally invasive treatment of challenging cancers and brain disorders.

At Elekta Neuroscience, you will have the opportunity to apply your project management skills when leading your project team. Your combined team efforts will manifest in commercial systems sold to leading clinics and hospitals around the world.

We work as cross functional teams where you as a project manager have the full responsibility from idea description to a commercial product delivered to the customer. The project maturity is high and the project manager has a strong position in our organization.

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

* The project manager is responsible for the successful execution and completion of the project according to the objectives stated in the agreed project plan.
* Allocate and manage cross-functional resources in a multi site environment to ensure efficient delivery of results.
* Support and promote good teamwork across the departments.
* Plan and follow up time schedule, cost, resources, risks, functionality and quality.
* The project manager reports on a monthly basis into the steering group.
* Participate in improvements in methods and tools within the profession of project management and the product development processes.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

* Master of Science in Software Engineering or equivalent education.
* Proven record in managing small to medium sized software development projects for technical products preferably within the medical device industry.
* Technical experience in modern software development including agile and iterative development processes, preferably with a background as software developer.
* Excellence in people management in a multi-tasking and multi site environment.
* Excellent communication skills towards colleagues in all levels.
* Experience in quality assurance for development of medical equipment or equivalent.
* A strong influencer both internally and externally.
* Ability to work on own and in teams with engagement.
* Proven ability to drive things forward.
* Excellent command of English and Swedish in speech and writing
* Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
* Experience in knowledge management processes is considered a plus.
