Your tasks
We are now recruiting a Financial Controller for an international IT-company. For this position you will be the financial controller for 2 entities in Sweden, based in the Gothenburg office. The main purpose of the role is to maintain accounting records and handle fiscal responsibilities of the two entities through direct hands-on accounting work and oversight of local Human Resource processes. In your responsibilities you will also;

* Maintain US GAAP-based accounting within Oracle. This includes a general ledger as well as Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and fixed asset ledgers.
* Supervise work of bookkeeping staff
* Maintain credit control function.
* Maintain relationship for payroll processing.
* Prepare VAT, social charge and other government-related returns accurately and submits payments prior to deadlines.
* Complete month-end closes in accordance with group requirements
* Preparing monthly financial reporting in accordance with US generally accepted accounting standards (GAAP) for timely submission to US Parent Company.
* Maintain statutorily required documentation.
* Manage internal and external audit process.
* Preparing annual capital and operating budgets.
* Provide financial guidance and assistance to other managers
* Prepare annual tax filings and annual statutory financial statements.
* Human Resource management

Vem är du?
Requirements;
* Qualified accountant.
* Minimum 3 years experience in accounting.
* Experience in the accounting department of a Swedish company owned by a U.S. public company is plus.
* Experience in budgeting a plus.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on, detail oriented individual. You have a technical and comprehensive knowledge of Swedish GAAP. If you also have the understanding of Swedish and US GAAP differences this I seen as an advantage. Excellent written and verbal English language and communication skills are required. Software experience with Oracle is beneficial. There may be some travelling for this position.
