Risk Operations at Klarna sits at the crossroad between multiple organizations in and outside of Klarna. Since it owns the day to day decisions on consumer credit, merchant on-boarding and monitoring, and relationships with law enforcement agencies and shipping partners, Risk Operations is tasked with balancing Klarna?s needs for controlling risk with our strong customer focus. The head of Risk Ops is therefore a central figure in the company?s operations - in charge of working with Sales, Customer Service, Debt Collection, Engineering and more to achieve the best possible decision and fight risk related fires as the market presents them. Risk Ops prides itself in being a highly analytics and data driven organization bent on process automation and use of technology while training the best domain experts in the business.

As Head of Risk Operations you will manage people in four different teams, each in charge of their own unique area; you will own a significant chunk of Klarna?s core day to day business decisions; and you will do so by scaling an organization that has to double in capacity each year without growing linearly. This is your chance to take on and lead a successful organization mere months before it becomes one of the most recognized Risk teams in the industry.

This is a full time position in Stockholm, Sweden; relocation is available.

Duties:
* Manage the day to day of consumer and merchant risk management as part of the Risk Operations Department.
* Serve as an escalation authority for accept/deny and go/no go decisions on merchants, large consumer credits, changes to Klarna?s fraud policy and more.
* Maintain a positive and productive work environment as the most senior Risk person on the ground in Stockholm.
* Direct the construction and maintenance of dashboards and reporting structures to make sure the organization continues to be highly metrics-driven.
* Engage in relationship management with external and internal partners such as Sales, Customer Care, Debt Collection, Law Enforecement etc.
* Direct the development and improvement of manual and semi-automated decision processes and decision support systems, working with Klarna's Engineering team.
* Be one of the main drivers of improvements to our analytical methodology.
* Recruit, train and grow a team of domain experts in risk management and analytics.

Requirements:
* A strong and experienced people oriented manager, with a proven track record of hiring and training of highly talented employees. War stories about retaining top performers as well as dealing with letting people go are highly valued.
* Excellent written and spoken English. Hebrew and Swedish are a plus.
* Several years of experience managing managers.
* Experience working in a cross cultural organization, as well as with multiple global partners; The best candidates will understand and have examples of being able to settle conflicting interests for the benefit of the business.
* Experience working in a high paced operational environment and making multiple decisions with a small margin for error.
* Strong analytical capabilities, curious and willing to learn. Understanding our method and way of thinking is crucial to your success in this role.
* Experience with Risk Operations and Process Analysis are a big plus.
