IT Technician
Provide support to users for technical purpose
Provide the procedures and documentation necessary to a good running of the infrastructure
Assist users by developing their expertise in using the tools by training, raising awareness and documentation (technical support, Implement technical support and define intervention procedures according to the severity of the incident
Intervene as quickly as possible to restore the service by diagnosing, preventing and repairing faults or malfunctions detected
Depending on the severity or complexity of the incident, evaluate the need to bring a technician on-site to restore the service.
Install IT equipment and ensure it is working properly: connections, peripherals, software installed
Provide on-site support and technical assistance, diagnosing preventing and repairing faults or malfunctions detected on equipment
Install and monitor the network equipments
Insure the performance of data transfer
Be able to troubleshoot a LAN problem
Insure the confidentiality of data flow when needed
Respect Head Office guidelines and norms and standards
Create and manage the users account and profiles
Install, administrate and monitor the servers (Production, office, mail, web sites servers)
Create and manage the printers and the printers queue
Deploy the security patch and new version of software
Insure the security of the data (backup/restore, rights management)
Be responsible for the backup of data
Be responsible of the Antivirus policy and administrate the Antivirus server
Monitor the performance and the capacity of the IS components
Keep-up-to date the documentation of the services provided by the systems
Validation and installation of new software
Validation and deployment of new applicative services
Respect Head Office guidelines and norms and standards
Validate and Deploy software on the workstations (security patch, new version, new software)
Keep-up-to date the application library of the company
Administrate the software licenses
Systems: Active Directory, W2K, W2K3, WXP
Network: CISCO switches and routers
Software: Microsoft tools, Lotus Notes (users administration mandatory), Back up tools, Antivirus tools, Altiris deployment tool (not mandatory)
Hardware: HP servers, HP and IBM workstations, Enterasys, Cisco, Nokia Firewall (not mandatory)
Others: TCP/IP protocol, Call Center
5 years experience in an IT support role
3 years experience in an Network and system administration role
Customer service skills are an absolute must.
Strong troubleshooting and team work skills essential, as well as work experience with remote team members.
Experience in Lotus Notes
Fluency in English written and verbal communication
