Market Coordinator Orbitz Worldwide Nordics
Train and support hotel suppliers in managing inventory in all OWW sourcing systems for the various brands including Orbitz, Ebookers/Mr Jet, HotelClub and RatestoGo
Introduce all new relevant tools to suppliers and coordinate all general supplier correspondence e.g. monthly NewslettersHold suppliers meetings via telephone to ensure availability, competitiveness and promotions are maximised for partner hotels
Monitor market trends and competitors deals in order to ensure that we have got competitive edge and best deals for the properties in the long tail
Attend important trade fairs and hold meetings with hotel suppliers in order of priority and as agreed with Market Manager (MM)/Senior Market Manager (SMM)
Assist contracting process by cold calling leads as agreed with MM/SMM, loading all contracts into relevant system, ensuring all relevant information received from suppliers and activating the contract
Reviewing and controlling all contract activations and to ensure regional team is aware of activations pending
Review competitiveness and availability for properties which generate 20%-30% of revenue and address with suppliers according to communication plan established
Review content and ensure all the facilities are up to date and photos are of excellent standard
Work closely with MM/SMM team, Revenue management to ensure that Mark-up, tax and fee issues are correct at all times
Coordinate all the marketing and Merchandising activities for the team ensuring that MM/SMMs adhere to marketing schedules
Produce reports for team including chain reports, source market reports, activations reports, contract tracking reports as agreed with MM/SMM
Develop strong relationships with internal customers across all Brands and communicate on a regular basis
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, plus thorough knowledge of Internet technologies
Sales/account/revenue experience in the hospitality/travel industry
Analytical skills required: a working knowledge of hotel revenue or inventory management preferred
Ability to work independently and thrive in a multi-tasked, fast paced environment
Strong organizational as well as written and oral communication skillsExperience of managing administrative process for large team
Ability to speak & write English & Swedish
Ability to establish effective relationships with all levels of management
Professional, "can do" attitude and work ethic
Ability to speak & write Finnish, Danish, Norwegian or one of the Baltic languages would be an advantage
Educated to degree level
