Investment Procurement is the primary internal interface in Vattenfall for large investment projects requiring external supply. The responsibility covers the procurement part of theproject to optimize cost and predictability. The focus is on the projects in BD Asset Development, BD Production, BD Distribution & Sales and BD Renewable. The investment procurement function will be gradually built up and take responsibility for projects as they arestarted.
For projects in scope Investment Procurement manages theprocurement part of the investment project budget and plan, from early project definition to completed guarantee period. Furthermore, as defined in the Project Procurement Strategy, Investment Procurement carries out procurement of non-recurring spend and ensures that recurring project spend is supported timely and within budget by Sourcing or Operational Purchasing & Call-off. The unit organization follows the Vattenfall organizational structure.
The management group Investment Procurement consists of 7 Persons with long experience from different procurement positions
We are now looking for a Procurement Manager to be responsible for the coordination of large projects within BD Nuclear and Manager for the German nuclear organization.
Working tasks

Develop and lead procurement for selected Nuclear Investment projects with the purpose to optimize cost and predictability according to decided vision, mission, strategies and targets.

Group Procurement responsible representative for the integration between BD Nuclear and Group Procurement

Act as trusted business partner

Upgrade Investment Procurement to optimize cost and predictability for assigned business area

Develop, implement and meet overall procurement plan that matches CAPEX plans and budgets as well as P/L savings targets, business needs and market opportunities

Participate in the budget setting process for Investment projects and make sure that all budgets are signed-off by procurement

Participate in the project assessment process from the perspective of procurement strategy procurement risk mgmt

Lead Procurement for Investments projects within decided policies, processes, time, cost and savings. Monitors, reports and react on deviations.

Ensure implementation in large projects of Sourcing, Supplier Management, Operational Purchasing and Call-off as well as Procurement Excellence. Proactively give relevant input.

Lead and coach Nuclear Investment Procurement unit

Manage performance of own budget as well as own targets

Active member of FPI team and act as Senior Procurement Business Partner
Educational background

Post graduate MBA/MSc/Supply Chain Studies or equivalent work experience

Training in Public Procurement Law, Investment procurement and Project Management or equivalent work experience

English and other European language (preferred German)- fluent (C2)
You have

Several years in similar position or equivalent. Knowledge from the nuclear business is an advantage.
