Partner Integration Engineer
We are looking for a partner integration engineer. One of our key growth areas is implementation of the Skype experience onto a variety of mobile devices with partners and direct to consumers. Working within Skype's mobile business unit, you will be a key member of the team that delivers engineering solutions to new and existing partners in order to enable Skype to work on their platform. You will work closely with Skype's various engineering teams to identify issues and drive solutions. You will be involved throughout the entire lifecycle of the project, from the initial first contact presentations moving onto all phases of the project (inception to project launch and ongoing support). Your input will influence the success of Skype's products with our key mobile operator and platform partners.
Key Responsibilities
* Key technical point of contact for supporting 3rd party providers in use of Skype provided API's
* As the key technical contact your duty will be to carry out in depth analysis of issues raised by 3rd party, identifying issues to appropriate Skype engineering teams and actively aiding the resolution
* Work closely with 3rd party to advise how to best integrate Skype into 3rd party devices/platforms
* You would be required to work in a technical consultative capacity to internal Skype business and product teams and 3rd party teams
* Write test tools/scripts to support and enhance Skype engineering team deliverables
* Rapid prototyping of proof of concept solution in order to demonstrate solution to potential partners
Expertise/Experience
* Strong C/C++ development experience on different mobile platforms
* Understanding of current video coding algorithms and media frameworks for mobile platforms
* Experience working with remote development teams / working on-site at 3rd parties to deliver integrated handset application solutions
* Excellent communication skills - understanding and influencing internal/third party developers to deliver optimal outcomes.
* Ability to communicate technical solutions quickly and simply
* Experience designing, building, troubleshooting and supporting applications on mobile platforms
* Experience in QA, testing, bug fixing and working with development teams Fluent in English (spoken and written)

Qualifications
BSc or higher degree in CS/EE or equivalent
