We are looking for a Product Manager - Components to develop and maintain the Corporate Assortment of Components in alignment with our clients overall strategies to secure the achievement of KPI?s related to quality, cost and delivery.
As a person you thrive in close corporation with designers in D&E and external suppliers. Your aim is to minimize the cost and complexity of machines and equipment by developing and maintaining a global standardized component assortment. These are based on aligned technical requirements across various machine departments.
You will be part of a great, creative and stimulating team and work environment within Supplier Management, working in close collaboration with the Supply Manager as technically responsible for the specific component assortments.
You main responsibilities will be:
* Commercial and Technical contact for Supplier and Product group
* Secure Sourcing, Contracting and Supplier activities in compliance with SM Processes
* Evaluate, develop, maintain and internally promote the Standard assortment of components
* Organize, manage and drive standardization activities related to technology development projects, being the primary interface for the project manager and contributing to project targets
* Support D&E engineers with technical advice, target follow-up, secure specifications for suppliers and purchasing/technical implications related to specifications requirements
* Drive supplier identification, selection and supplier development
To be successful you should have a Technical education specialized in Automation/ Mechanical or similar and at least three years of experience in similar role.
Relevant product knowledge:
* Pumps, valves, connections
* Commercial Purchase/ Sales experience
* Knowledge about legal demands in the Food & Beverage Industry
An excellent command of both verbal and written English and Swedish is required. You must be prepared to travel.
This is a leave of absence primarily during the period of 2011-01-01 until 2011-07-01. Start date in December for a professional handover.
