Floatel International AB is a Swedish registered company established in 2006 with two Semi-Submersible Accommodation Support Vessels in operation and one additional under construction at Keppel FELS Shipyard in Singapore. The third unit, B343, is due for delivery early 2014.
We are currently seeking a Purchasing assistant / Purchaser for a permanent position at our Head Office in Mölndal, Sweden.
Description;
The Purchasing assistant works together in a Purchasing team doing procurement related to our Rig operations. For the right applicant the position offers an opportunity to develop to the role as Purchaser.
This involves, but is not limited to, liaising with Rig Managers, Superintendents,onshore technical personnel, expeditors and warehouse personnel.
Purchase or hire, in accordance with department procedures, goods, materials and services for use within or by Floatel International.
Responsible for the use of STAR CPS purchase module and its disciplines.
Task/Responsibilities;
The main responsibilities will be;

Daily checking and handling of Material Requisitions and Purchase Orders in the computerized Purchasing system Star CPS.

Sourcing of required goods or services through the Purchasing system

Ensure that subcontractor evaluation, selection and management is done in accordance with established procedures.

Prepare a follow-up of costs for purchased goods and services versus budgeted costs.

Preparation of procurement related to specific rig projects.

Participation in preparation of annual rig budget.

Preparation of monthly financial reports from the purchasing system.

Participation in negotiations related to the purchase or hire of requisitioned items on the best terms available.

To work in accordance with the department?s objectives and procedures.
Skills/Experience;
We are seeking a dedicated individual with the following qualifications;
Education / Training

Economical or Purchasing degree from university or similar experience.

Long experience as Management Accountant can substitute for the above mentioned formal education.
Experience

Appreciated to have at least 2 year Purchasing experience or similar.

Good communication skills and are comfortable with working in an international environment.

Good command of English, written and orally

Good computer skills.
Conditions;
This is a permanent employment and onshore Swedish conditions will apply.
