Proffice Life Science is now recruiting a scientist to the Compound Management Group at AstraZeneca R&D, Mölndal. Starting date is 15th of December and the duration of the position is six months. Proffice Life Science offer permanent employment.
Compound Management is responsible for the maintenance, development and access to the compound collection providing a service across Discovery at the Mölndal site and globally. The work involves processing of newly synthesized compounds or compounds acquired from the existing compound library. The group uses automated systems, compound databases and some manual compound handling.
This role requires a university degree in Chemistry or related education. Experience of laboratory work is beneficial as well as an interest in operating and troubleshooting automated systems and/or liquid handling equipment. Strong computer skills and interest in the pharmaceutical industry are essential. There is regular contact with a large customer base so a service minded personality is required.
It is essential to have good social and communication skills and to be a strong team player. Candidates should be able to work independently, take own initiatives and have a positive, goal oriented and problem solving attitude. Good organisational skills are required as well as excellent swedish and english both spoken and in writing.
