Senior Material Engineer Aluminium Foil - LUN003311

Then the position as Senior Material Engineer at Tetra Pak Packaging Solutions could be your next job!

The new position is located within the Base Materials group (BaseMat). BaseMat strives to continuously adapt and improve our global base material supply platforms (paperboard, polymers, aluminium foil and ink) in collaboration with our suppliers, converting factories and development organisations. This role will put you in contact with many highly professional stakeholders around the globe - both internal and external. You will report to the Director, Foil & Ink Technology, your base will be Lund and you'll travel around 40 days/year.

Main responsibilities
* Drive scouting and qualification of aluminium foil suppliers and grades.
* Drive capacity, quality and cost improvement projects, focusing on both internal and external manufacturing base
* Drive and support development and co-development projects
* Develop, maintain and enforce aluminium foil specifications.
* Supplier Relationship and Common Agenda Management.

Qualifications
You are an open person who actively shares your knowledge with others. Building relations comes easy to you and you know how to balance listening with persuasion and helpfulness with firmness. You are analytical and organised which makes it easy for you create a structure and keep track on many parallel issues. You are a clear communicator and excel at both spoken and written English.

Your academic background is a university degree in Material Science or similar. You have solid experience working with aluminium and probably have good knowledge in surface and mechanical properties. Experience within thin gage aluminium foil manufacturing, converting and/or food packaging application is a clear advantage, as well as experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management and/or co-development.
