To our head office in Uppsala we are searching for
Senior scientist ? Peptide Synthesis
As Senior scientist at Biotage you will be the R&D ambassador of our peptide synthesisefforts. Besides being a part of the R&D development team you will work closely tomarketing, sales and external contacts - mainly customers and vendors but also people inother scientific collaborations. The position will be hands on lab based and requirethorough knowledge of modern peptide synthesis methods and a good workingknowledge of analytical instrumentation including analytical methods for peptides.
Key responsibilities are:
* Turn customer demands into technical requirements for development projects
* Act as the internal customer during development projects
* Provide application data and posters that supports our products
* Explore new applications based on state-of-the-art literature methods
* Provide technical support for peptide synthesis customers
* Support the marketing and sales organisation with comparative data on competitorproducts
* Interact with academic groups
* Attend scientific meetings to present posters and give oral presentations
The job requires:
* PhD relevant to solid phase peptide synthesis
* A minimum of five years hands on experience of working with peptide chemistryanalysis and characterization
* Hands on experience from working with instrumentation for organic synthesis andanalysis
* Industrial experience is preferred
* Experience of working in an international environment
* Fluent in English
