Strategic Sourcing
Material & Logistics (M&L) is responsible for all sourcing and supply including storage of all goods within Kockums AB. The function is to secure the material for all projects produced within Kockums and our shipyards. In Material & Logistics we have a Strategic Sourcing function, Supply Quality Engineers, Material Project Managers, Project Buyers and the Ware House to support the business units. Since Kockums is part of ThyssenKrupp we are starting up an integration programme with the global sourcing organisations within the business group.
The role as Strategic Sourcing
As strategic sourcing you will manage the supplier category according to the rules and policies within TKMS, establish a professional business relation with the suppliers and ensure cost and quality efficient contracts. You are the owner of the business relation with the supplier and it is your job to initiate, approve, develop, and maintain suppliersin accordance with the supplier management programme within ThyssenKrupp. You will prepare short and long term activity plans for the supplier category that you are responsible for, define targets for the category of suppliers and measure and monitor their performance. The work is performed in close co-operation with your colleagues in M&L, our business units and our production.
Your work is global since it requires analysis of the global situation for the supplier category and close co-operation with TKMS colleagues. This position requires travelling about 60-80 days per year.
Candidate profile:
* You hold minimum a Secondary School Diploma, preferably in Business & Economics or equivalent, with a higher diploma in purchasing, Business & Economics or equivalent.
* You have good written and oral Swedish and professional business English. German is an advantage.
* You have good knowledge of working with Office programs, especially Excel and Word.
* You have at least 5 years work experience, preferably from an international purchasing or sales department, including experience from negotiation and contract analysis and management.
* You have at least two years of commodity experience, and experience from budget work.
* Material project management experience is an advantage.
As a person you are a result oriented team player with good business and cooperation skills. You are driven by negotiating and closing good deals with good suppliers to the best benefit of your company and company group. You can work independently towards set targets and can handle stress in a constructive way. You're analytic and structured, have a good judgement and the ability to keep many tasks going at the same time.
The position is stationed in either Malmoe or Karlskrona depending on where you live.
