Technical Information Manager- VSM
Vehicle Service Market is the automotive aftermarket business unit within the SKF Automotive Division. We service the independent aftermarket with products, services and concepts for cars and commercial vehicles (Engine, Chassis, Wheel End). Our customers range around the world goes from distributors, major
International Trading Groups, to retailers and garages. The aftermarket segment enjoy a double digit annual growth with a strategy based on market penetration, new markets and new products.
In order to reinforce our service to Customers, we want to develop our technical information. We are looking for a Technical Information Manager.
Main challenges and key responsabilities:
* Define and develop technical training material needed internally and externally for the vehicle aftermarket segment.
* Consolidate, build up and manage a garage training material community within VSM.
* Interact with external training providers, technical schools etc to make sure SKF are in the forefront when providing technical information.
* Map and coordinate the development of workshop tools in cooperation with Product Managers.
* Manage a team working with technical information.
Required skills and knowledge:
* Strong garage knowledge
* Strong technical competencies particularly on automotive products
* Excellent and successful pedagogic skills
* Leadership skills: interest in developing people, lead as well groups and individuals,
* Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
* Good adaptability with different publics (e.g. level, culture, competencies)
* Ability to work in a matrix and multicultural organisation
* Self motivated as team player, flexible and innovative approach
* Fluent in English
* Ability to travel
This position will be based in SKF/VSM office in Europe and will report to Michael Bohm (head of Product Management and Business Development for the BU VSM).
