The role:
Skype is looking for a recognized technology leader to join us to take engineering to the next level.
Emphasis on developing and releasing great products with high quality rather than on technology vision and architecture
You will have:
Able to articulate that vision and drive the team to get there through your technical experience, passion for innovation and commitment to deliver of superior products.
Deep and impressive technical background in real time communications.
Deep knowledge of the end-to-end development process, encompassing product management and ongoing support as well as core development and QA
Strong process bias; known for implementing right-sized processes and driving continuous improvement in efficiency and effectiveness
Consumer/end-user product focused with strong focus on UI / Usability
Relevant background in VOIP, Social networking, B2C, Web 2.0
Hands-on style; earns credibility with a combination of technical skill and leadership prowess
Proven ability to scale a global development Multi site experience leading a world class Engineering team with a strong track record of ?followership? and gravitas.
Significant experience in a tier 1 technology company and several start ups.
