Test Environment Engineer - WRBS and Aeroflex
The IT & Test Environment is a unit within the company, with the mandate and mission to create ONE IT and Test Environment, leveraging the strength of the combined units to build competitive advantage for the company. We are more than 1800 employees, working in more than 400 locations, and our ambition is to be seen as the prime model of a geographically distributed and virtual organization.
The Test Environment have the mandate and mission to provide the most cost efficient test environment to our users (internal organizations ) globally.
In Stockholm the department Product Test Environment (PTE) is responsible for all the major Test Labs and Test Environments such as WCDMA, WRBS, BTS, RNC, Kista Remote lab and LTE within the RAN nodes. We provide our users with complete test environment services both locally and remotely. This includes both financial planning and follow up as well as planning, configuration, integration, maintenance and support of our test environments and equipment.
Our good reputation has led to an increasing demand from our users, and we are now looking for a number of RAN test environment engineers, to work with Test Environment Service Delivery.
Job Description
As a Test environment Engineer you will have the full responsibility for the

Installation, configuration, support and troubleshooting of the Aeroflex simulator

Contact person to the Aeroflex supplier regarding with the SW and licenses
Qualifications
We see that you have previous experience in working within the telecom area and worked with IP and Unix/Linux. You should have an understanding of firewalls and be able to create and edit scripts in order to do configuration of the nodes. If you have experience in working with WCDMA (RNC or RBS), radio RF knowledge or Erlang it is considered as a merit.
You should also have

A bachelor in Science in IT, Telecom or equivalent, plus at least three years of telecommunications experience.

Good Swedish and English communication skills and analytical capability

Ability to work in teams but also the ability to take initiative and work independently when needed. Important skills are creativity, flexibility, accuracy and perseverance.
